Hojicha + Shoshi Mug

To celebrate the launch of Hojicha, we asked ceramicist Shoshi Watanabe to design the perfect vessel for enjoying this special Japanese tea. Hojicha, meaning “roasted tea” in Japanese, is a traditional tea made from late-harvest, roasted green tea leaves. Our organic version is made from upcycled Sencha leaves and stems harvested from Kagoshima and Shizuoka, Japan. Finely ground into a powder, it whisks effortlessly into a delicious latte or rich brew with notes of toasted nuts, caramel and malt. Inspired by Hojicha’s warm, reddish-brown hue and balanced flavor, Shoshi crafted this versatile mug to honor and reflect this delicious tea's qualities.
